Canna altensteinii.
Rare in cultivation in the UK this magnificent Canna species forms large clumps of stout stems up to 3M tall
(from seed our plants reach 2M in their first season). The stems sport a wealth of large apple-green leaves and, in late summer, clusters of small, exotic blooms
soft apricot in colour, flushed pink at the face with a recurved lower petal.
An excellent plant for summer bedding at the back of the border. The huge rhizomes can be overwintered like dahlia tubers.
Cannas are hungry feeders and require full sun and lots of water.
Young plants available April/May, please enquire
